Ten Tokyo Wrestling readers had been invited to join that day in a Premium Fan Conference with Kate held after the press conference. An open call for guests to attend the Premium Fan Conference had been posted one-week prior in Tokyo Wrestling's mixi community, and even though the Fan Conference was itself scheduled for a weekday afternoon, over 200 people tendered forth their names for the chance to be there. In addition to the 10 Tokyo Wrestling readers, 8 Moennig enthusiasts affiliated directly with TW also took part. All 18 Fan Conference guests went to the venue with fan letters addressed to Kate in hand. One fan would be given the opportunity to ask Kate a question, and one fan would be chosen by lottery to read her fan letter to The L Word star in person. In addition, tons of the media press corps and Livedoor bloggers were there at the venue to report on the goings-on firsthand.

Once the doors to the conference room were opened, Kate's lucky girls stepped in to the Premium Room - with more than just a little nervousness apparent on their faces. First, they were given a formal explanation of the proceedings. Then, as they made their final adjustments to their cameras with Kate's entry to that very room on their minds, the electric vibe in the air changed to one of excitement and expectation. At the host's cue, Kate's fans all called out in unison, "Katherine!", signaling the start to The L Word's theme song and Moennig's much-anticipated entry. Applause and cheers rolled forth from the audience. Katherine Moennig, known for the warmth she extends to her fans, showed great pleasure in being able to interact with her admirers in Japan that day.
