4. Japan Premier report (Part 2)
※Noriko Aota basking in the radiance of her most gorgeous drag entourage.
One of the more conspicuous guests at the Japan Premier was Noriko Aota, a staple topic among gay men for her attractive yet unflinchingly assertive personality. Moreover, Aota herself has undoubtedly noticed an explosion in the number of lesbians among her fans as well following her winning portrayal of a gay woman in the TV drama, Tokyo Love Collection (2007). The star thrilled both the venue and the media with her punchy arrival at the event. She appeared wrapped in a fully pink dress and surrounded by drag queens as gorgeous as they were impressive. No wonder since the beauty queens by Aota's side are all extremely well-established figures within the Japanese queer scene as well as the entertainment industry.
※From the left: DJ Mondo, Margarette, Leo, Toy Boy Hirosumi, Rachel D'amour.
Renowned performer, DJ Mondo - on the left, has DJ'ed at Tokyo's own most cutting-edge electro party fancyHIM and also appears in TV music programs and promotion videos as a dancer. Second from the left is Margarette, queen of the queens, who has been leading the queer scene since the 1990's. Her list of accomplishments is long and includes accompanying Japanese R&B singer MISIA onstage for her national tours and getting extensive press in television, film and magazines. The lucky boy on Aota's leash is Leo of the fancyBOYS, who can be found working both the door and the DJ booth at fancyHIM events. Second from the right is Toy Boy Hirosumi, a well sought-out artist - both in his capacity as a costume designer for Japan's celebrities and as a go-go dancer found performing at anywhere from corporate events to gay parties. On the far right is Rachel D'amour, a celebrated show dancer and drag queen most often seen at Tokyo's AgeHa events. She, too, accompanied MISIA along with Margarette on a national tour and has appeared in Japanese film and promotional videos for popular artists.
Making his own dramatic entry during the latter half of the event was director Michael Patrick King, with Misaki Ito at his side.
The press and female fans alike were awestruck at the sight of Misaki Ito escorted in by the director and all decked out in the Vivian Westwood wedding dress from the film.
And, at long last, fitting for the finale, entered Patricia Field - seated in a Swarovski crystal bedecked Mercedes Benz alongside Norika Fujiwara. In response to the breathtaking entrance, the crowd bubbles with enthusiastic calls and cheers.

Patricia Field escorts Norika Fujiwara to the front as she keeps her arm around her waist with a tender and confident air telling of a true dyke heart.
In response to calls from the press, she takes Norika Fujiwara's hand and strikes a pose.
