■Gina Gershon: "Bound"

Born in 1962. Gershon moved to New York in her early 20's where she studied drama and became a founding member of the theater group Naked Angels. In 1988, she appeared in supporting roles in both "Cocktail" with Tom Cruise and "Red Heat" with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Then, in 1995, she played a reigning Vegas showgirl ultimately dethroned in the notorious Hollywood flick, "Showgirls". The film was a disaster - evidenced by its seven Raspberry Awards. Director Paul Verhoeven and actress Elizabeth Berkley disappeared from Hollywood shortly thereafter, yet Gershon alone emerged unscathed. Just one year later, she won rave acclaim, and countless enthusiastic fans, for her role as a tough-as-nails butch in the Wachowski Brothers' "Bound".

After "Bound", Gershon played a hot bisexual rocker in the indie film she helped to produce, "Prey for Rock & Roll".

For all her lesbian-friendly performances, Gershon is often rumored to be gay - but unfortunately the rumors are untrue.
