※Cécile de France as Isabelle in "The Spanish Apartment"
In "The Spanish Apartment", the film that launched her career, and "The Russian Dolls, de France is convincing as a soft butch - such as when she teaches Xavier how to properly seduce women in the first film, and endures the humiliation of feminine clothing when posing as Xavier's fiancée in the second. The film's story of her lasting friendship with the straight Xavier is truly heart-warming.

has been coerced by Xavier to pose as his fiancée.
