Last but not least, two new trendy spots that have just recently opened in the Silver Lake scene.

Mercado is a delightful shop for home decor and interior design. Amongst the tasteful selection, I spotted French fragrance and bath accessories by Cote Bastide, adorable handmade sheep- and rabbit-shaped egg warmers from Germany, and cushions embroidered with big floral designs. Check out their website to see more of what they have to offer, including photos of the owner, rocking her short-haired, tattooed Silver Lake look.

Body Bar, a new salon in Silver Lake, offers a range of services including facials, body care, massage and Brazilian wax. The shop sells REN cosmetics, a popular London-based brand, as well as organic cosmetics from L.A. such as Nature Girl and Rich Hippie.
Take note that none of the spots I've covered in this article are specifically women-only. All of these stylish, cozy establishments are frequented by local straight and queer folk alike. Not to worry--wherever you go, you will be sure to run into the lovely queer ladies of Silver Lake!
