5. Edgy sound and interior
Last year we introduced the super-chill and edgy nightspot Jolene in TW Notes. While the space itself is not expressly queer, one of the owners is an out lesbian--as is the booking manager DJ Djuna Barnes. They are, in fact, a super hot couple. The place is naturally gay-friendly, and frequented by plenty of queer girls and boys.
Jolene's vintage and somewhat nostalgic atmosphere provides an at-home yet arty feel. Here you can catch the edgy and cool musical selection of DJ Djuna Barnes, who not only stands at the fore of the Danish and European DJ scenes but also writes for a Copenhagen newspaper. Indeed, she has made a name for herself as a multi-talented, out dyke virtuoso, clearly well-loved in the arts scene.

※The vintage interior gives Jolene an at-home, arty atmosphere. The meat packing district where Jolene is located takes on a whole new, cool look at night.
