At last, the L word is about to officially rocket into the world of Japanese fashion magazines! In
line with the upcoming release of the Japanese the L word ("L no Sekai") DVD, this month'sVoCE introduces the lead cast (January 2008 issue, pp 246-247). The article accentuates the hit drama's ability to deliver stylish appeal in a post-Sex and the City era, while openly flirting with the sexuality of the actresses (including Katherine Moennig) and stylist from the show. Before long lesbians will boast the same fashionable image in Japan that has taken the rest of the world by storm... 2008 may even be the Year of the Lesbian in Japan!
