2001年、ブラジル人の友人を通じてバイレ・ファンキというダンス ミュージックに出会い、大きな衝撃を受ける。2003年、本場での活動を目指し、単身ブラジルに渡る。たまたま訪れたリオのクラブで、DJ兼ビートメイカMr.Dと出会う。その場でバイレ・ファンキについての話題で意気投合し、早速彼が拠点とするLAのスタジオでの制作がスタート、日本とLAを行き来する生活に。

2005年、LAで制作された楽曲がMySpaceなどで話題になり、LA Times、Dazed & Confused UKなど、アメリカを中心にイギリスやスウェーデン、ブラジルなどのメディアで取り上げられ大きな注目を。

日本のクリエイティブチームとともに制作した楽曲を従えて、ついに日本先行でミニアルバムを今年の4月10日にFile Records からリリース！　待望のフルアルバムは、夏にリリース予定。お楽しみに！

Tamarah became enamored with Baile Funk music after a Brazilian friend frst introduced her to the genre in 2001. Determined to immerse herself in the music and culture, she then headed to Brazil in 2003, where she met DJ and beat-maker Mr. D at a club in Rio. They hit it off, owing to their shared interest in Baile Funk music, and soon began working on tracks together using his studio in LA. Tigarah shuttled back and forth between the US and Japan to pursue the project.

In 2005, one of their tracks hit it big on MySpace and soon rose to prominence through broad coverage in the LA Times, Dazed & Confused UK, and other media throughout the US, the UK, Sweden and Brazil - for starters.

Now working with a creative team here in Japan, Tigarah will be releasing a new mini-album on File Records April 10th, with a full-length album expected to come out this summer!
