今年7月25日（土）に、第4回青森インターナショナルLGBTフィルムフェスティバルが開催予定。今年は、7作品、3プログラムを上映。上映予定の映画には、以前TWで監督のインタビュー記事を掲載した「ヴォイス・オブ・ヘドウィグ」も。行ける人は是非行ってみて！

Coming on Saturday, July 25th.... the 4th Annual Aomori International LGBT Film Festival!!! Seven films will be shown in three separate programs: (1) Eternal Summer, (2) Japanese Shorts, and (3) Follow My Voice. If you’re in the area, you should definitely check it out!

『ヴォイス・オブ・ヘドウィグ』
　
　

「人とは違う私たちに、いつも勇気を与えてくれたのは"ヘドウィグ"」　

ジョン・キャメロン・ミッチェル監督と、音楽プロデューサー、クリス・スルサレンコなどが、NYのクィア少年へ開かれた「ハーヴェイ・ミルク・ハイスクール」のためにチャリティ・アルバムを制作した。CDには、スリーター・キニーやシンディ・ローパー、オノ・ヨーコ、ヨ・ラ・テンゴなど、様々なジャンルの個性派ミュージシャンたちによる『ヘドウィグ・アンド・アングリーインチ』サウンドトラックのカバー曲が収録されている。『ヴォイス・オブ・ヘドウィグ』はそれらのミュージシャンたちやミッチェル監督を1年間にわたり撮影。また同校に通っている生徒4人もフィーチャーし、彼らの葛藤、自分探し、家族や周りとの人間関係などを繊細に映し出し、感動を与えてくれるドキュメンタリーに仕上がっている。
