第13回レインボーマーチ札幌！ The 13th Annual Rainbow March Sapporo

今年の9月21日に第13回レインボーマーチ札幌が開催！

札幌市中心部にある大通り・すすきのなどを約1時間半に渡ってパレードする「レインボーマーチ札幌」。 参加者は思い思いの衣装や服装で、装飾したトラックやオープンカーとともに歩く。主張を書いたプラカードを掲げたりするなど、パフォーマンスも自由に行なわれ、駅前通付近では恒例の風船飛ばしが毎年LGBTたちを歓喜させている。

昨年は960名の参加者が集い、今年は約1000名のパレードになることが予想される。9月の連休真っ只中に行なわれるこのイベントに、行ける人は是非参加してみては！

The 13th Annual Rainbow March Sapporo will be held this year on September 21st!!

Every year, the Rainbow March Sapporo begins at the 6 Chome Square in Odori Park and proceeds through Odori, Susukino and the downtown area for an hour and a half. Participants dress in any way they like and march alongside decorated cars and trucks while carrying messages for the crowds. In addition to performances, festivities include the ever-popular release of balloons by Sapporo station, which will be closing the event again this year.

Over 960 people came to the march last year and over 1000 are expected for 2009. Since the event falls on a long holiday, there's almost no excuse to not to head out and check it out!
