NYのクィアシーンでも大人気のハンサムガールなDJTikkaが来日予定！！　ニューヨークを拠点に、Sputnikのパーティー、WednesgayzでレジデントDJとして活躍している彼女。また、Trent Brooksと共に立ち上げたパーティーThat's My Jamのほかにも、TWでも先日取り上げたThe GossipやJD Samson、Murray Hillなどともプレイし、人気急上昇中！　

今回の来日、東京でのプレイは、強烈なインパクトを残すはず！！　TWも遊びに行く予定！！

DJ Tikka　PROFILE
インド・コルカタで1923年から続くオルガン製作一家に生まれる。幼少時代からインド古典声楽を習っていた経験、さらにインド、ニュージャージー、オークランド、カリフォルニア、現在ブルックリンと、個性の異なる多くの土地で過ごした経験が、彼女の創る音楽に強く影響を与えている。

A night of Basement Bhangra sound. YES... THAT'S RIGHT!!!!! Bhangra!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DJ Tikka will be joining us to play a set. She just started a six month residency at Sputnik (NYC) called Wednesgayz... she runs That's My Jam with Trent ... she DJ's at the Rubin Museum and The Bell House (NYC) ... and she's been on stages, or rocking after-parties, for Toshi Reagon, Meshell N'Degeocello, Talib Kweli, DJ Premier, Jean Grae, MC Lyte, TV on the Radio, The Gossip, Murray Hill, and more!

She comes from a family of instrument builders in Kolkata, India, that's been building harmoniums since 1923. The music she makes is strongly influenced by all of the different places she's lived: from India to New Jersey, from Oakland, California to, now, Brooklyn.

We are really really excited to host her ... and so ready to jam in Tokyo!
