5月17日は「IDAHO（アイダホ）」の日。 「国際反ホモフォビアの日（the International Day against Homophobia）」は、1990年5月17日に世界保健機関（WHO）が精神疾患リスト（DSM-Ⅲ）から同性愛を外したという由来からきている。 IDAHOは2004年8月にフランスの活動家によって立ち上げら以来、世界各国で様々なアクションが行われている。 国内でも2006年より開催され、外務省と法務省に署名の提出や、街頭キャンペーンなどが行われた。今年は東北から九州までの全国約18か所での関連アクションが行われる予定。（※今年は5月17日が平日のため、街頭アクションは5月17日からずらして開催する地区もあるのでご注意を。） ★IDAHOのサイト↓ May 17 is IDAHO Day The International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO) is taken from May 17, 1990 -- the day that the World Health Organization (WHO) removed homosexuality from its list of mental disorders. Since the first IDAHO Day held by French activists in August 2004, actions commemorating the event have multiplied in countries around the world. IDAHO Day was first celebrated in Japan in 2006 with street action and petitions submitted to the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Justice.
