元旦放送の「極嬢ヂカラ」（テレビ東京）に引き続き、オルタナティヴ・ロック・マガジン『クッキーシーン』（09年3月号・1/28売・P104）にて、Tokyo Wrestling今年2度目の一般メディア掲載！！　今月21日に日本盤デビューアルバムが発売され、TWもライナーノーツを担当した、Uh Huh Her『Common Reaction』の紹介の中で、レズビアンカルチャーについてTW編集長が取材を受けた。当サイトを創始した理由や、アメリカ&国内のレズビアンシーンなどについて質問を。

また、同誌では、ロックポップバンド、アントニー・アンド・ザ・ジョンソンズのインタビューを始め、『ゲイは身を助ける』という特集で、音楽シーンで活躍しているゲイアーティストをフィーチャー。音楽好きのみなさんは絶対にお見逃しなく！！！

Close on the heels of our New Year's appearance in the TV Tokyo program "Gokujo Jikara (Ultra Power Girls)", Tokyo Wrestling has made the news for the second time this year - this time in the March 2009 issue of the alternative rock magazine, "Cookie Scene" (on sale January 28, page 104). Tokyo Wrestling's chief editor answers questions about lesbian culture as part of the magazine's write-up on Uh Huh Her and the Japanese release of the band's first album "Common Reaction". The interview includes information on why the website was started, what the lesbian scenes in the US and Japan are like, and more.

Also, the same issue features a special report on gay artists active in the music scene -including an interview with the rock-pop band, Anthony and the Johnsons. This is a must-read for rock fans! Available only in Japanese.

Leisha Hailey, the woman behind everybody's favorite L Word character Alice Pieszecki, is about to cause a fresh commotion. Her new band, Uh Huh Her, has just hit Japan with the Japanese CD release of their latest album!

The electro-indie-pop of Uh Huh Her's debut album is infused with the sounds of 80's New Wave and offset beautifully by the perfectly symphonic vocals of Hailey and her bandmate Camila Grey. "Common Reaction" is a pearl--densely packed with the allure of rock shiningly crafted and refined.

『ショートバス』のスコット・マシューが初のアルバムリリース Shortbus artist Scott Matthew's album out in Japan!

世界中に熱狂的なファンを持つカルトムービー『ヘドウィグ・アンド・アングリーインチ』の監督ジョン・キャメロン・ミッチェルの最新作として昨年日本でも公開された『ショートバス』。そのテーマソング『In The End』を含む5曲をサウンドトラックとして書き下ろし、自身の役でも映画に出演しているシンガーソングライター、スコット・マシューが、9/12に初の日本盤アルバムをリリースする。

自身の名を冠したこのアルバムは、聴く者をそっと包み込み慈しむような繊細なアコースティックサウンドで構成され、その優しく悲哀に満ちた歌声は『ショートバス』でも重要な役割を果たしている。多くのクィアが出演し、また、それぞれ分かち難い孤独を抱えつつも、人との繋がりを求めて葛藤するニューヨーカーたちを斬新な切り口と暖かな視線で描ききった同映画のメッセージそのものが表現されている。

"Shortbus" (2006), released last year in Japan, was written and directed by John Cameron Mitchell as a daring follow-up to his cult film/theater hit "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" (2001). Those who saw "Shortbus" will recognize both the face and voice of Scott Matthew, the American singer and songwriter who made musical magic on the film's highly-lauded soundtrack (5 songs including the title theme "In the End") and appeared as himself in an onscreen role. The tremendous news is - Matthew's first album will be released here in Japan on September 12th!

今回のアルバムは、サウンドトラックとして提供した5曲を新たにアレンジ＆レコーディングし、さらに人生における悲しみや孤独にフォーカスを絞った美しく慈悲深い楽曲7曲を加えた全12曲。

ゲイとしてもカミングアウトしている彼は、今回のアルバムに収録された曲について、恋人との別れの経験が大きく影響していることや、CDのアートワークを、別れた恋人本人であるキャメロン・デイリーに依頼したことなども明かしている。

秋の物想いのお供にピッタリの優美でメランコリックなアルバム。是非チェックを！

Matthew's album features 12 songs - 5 newly arranged gems originally from the "Shortbus" soundtrack, along with 7 brand new and deeply touching musical explorations of sorrow and loneliness in life.

Matthew, an out New York-based artist, has let it be known that the music on his album was greatly influenced by his experience in a romantic break-up - and he asked his ex, Cameron Dailey, for the artwork shown on the album cover.
